A great show. Really liked that video, nice work guys. What I don?t like is that red bengal flame @ the end which could?ve been less bright because it really takes away alot of the effects going of next to it on the right and thus destroys athmosphere IMHO.

The rest is just great!!!

Paul, It was actually lancework spelling out "UKRA" in giant letters. The camera does not pick this up very well because the CCD is somewhat overwhelmed. Over 100 magnesium distress flares were used in the piece. The cake going off behind it was in actual fact unintentional, but I personally think it works well. :)

I think you'd need to put a welding filter on the camera for it to be able to cope with
the brightness of the "eye-burner" lancework! 100 or so hand flares at 15,000 candella
each is..... bright!

You have to be there to appreciate the full effect - and be left with a lasting retinal image
for some time afterwards when you close your eyes ;-)

Good luck with your videoing, Paul :-)

I will give you that Paul, they were amazingly bright! And from what I could see, they all lit!

It works out around 1500000 Candella all together :)

All but two! Not a bad ignition percentage. The two that failed may have been slightly older
than the rest.

Sounds about right!
