Very nice, that must be a serious labour of love considering its original condition. So how long have you been working on that for?

Indeed chris, very nice mate.

I've just got back into electronics. Building one kickass firing system. (with the help of electronics wizz paul :P ) Should be quite somthing when it's done......If it works  ....Oh and I'm building my first air cannon tomorrow, just for fun

Awesome contraption! Where do you find the time for pyro?

(Or is 'when you want something done, ask a busy man...')

I dont get a lot of time to do pyro, but enjoy it when i do! this awsome contraption has had a complete rebuild from the chassis up and believe it or not the towing vehicle used to be a tractor (well it still is, but highly modified!! - we have sold that one and built a new one from scratch this year, hopefully pics will be o the site after the weekend (no one else has seen it yet cos we are late taking it out, so until it goes out, we dont post pics of it!!)

yeah, always ask a busy man and he will find the time (dunno how though!!)

this topic always gets me exited...........where do i start....

okay, from a young age, i enjoyed electronics.....mainly building transformers, rectifiers, tesla coils, carbon arc devices....that type of thing.

i also have a passion for anything involving ropes....started with indoor rock climbing, then abseiling, then bridge swinging...

power kiting is another one of my past times. as is sking - later this year, i plan to adapt these two into a newer hobby. kite sking...should be good....my ski-resort sees winds upto 80Mph.....i'll be using my smallest kite - 3m span.....i think that should create enough pull - i'll only need 20ish MPH to begin with.

Motorsport - mainly the building and driving parts....

there are others.......but i keep those quiet !

I listen to a lot of music,.........im quite into symphonic metal, but my tastes cover all sorts of genre`s, I also cycle a fair bit.

I also create night-scapes onto ceilings using daytime invisable photoluminescent paints for kids bedrooms/cinema rooms/bathrooms etc.

Hopeful future projects:- Make a touch screen jukebox using sections of classic cars!
I also want to make a tandoor oven out of a old steel drums/barrels!.

Seems to have gone very quiet- I guess interest naturally wanes a bit after the Bonfire Night season.

As for steam engines, share any footage you have- the more stuff on the forum, the better- generate a bit of interest!
OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)
