Just a quickish/token post, for 2015! I won't be involved with pyro this year, but things are looking good on the consumer from. Businesses such as Great Northern and Epic are both maintaining a high standard of professionalism, all year round sales and good quality Pyro. Shops like Galactic are bringing an element of fun into things, their forum is.... quirky. ;) Other shops I've not personally visited like Firework Crazy look good too, with consistent updates on the website etc. UKFR is a pleasant place to post, which is good to see- it's sponsor funded, but that doesn't seem to dominate- ie, there is not a glut of posts just saying "buy our stuff."

And moreover, there are some really nice fireworks out there. Which I guess is important too!

So yeah, generally, things are looking really healthy.

OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

The other thing, that, touch wood, seems to be upbeat and "healthy" is the lack of inter-trade criticism. What (unfortunately) seemed to be an issue especially on this forum, was companies making nasty comments about rival businesses. This issue was that this lead to a lot of double standards, or "let he who is without sin cast the first stone." Personally, I'm not interested in fireworks much now, but hopefully this forum will pick up again at some point. I know Pyro Soc is more towards the technical side of fireworks, but even so, consumer fireworks are still... a thing!
