Waterproof Matches on the cheap - Dip the ends in molten candle wax!
When you need to use them scrape the wax off or keep striking them!

Anybody tried Sparklers wrapped in PVC electrical tape? My dad says they make good waterproof fuses. A portfire or 12 could be handy though.

I usually use bic lighters, occaisionlly strike anywere matches. Has anybody tried using punk wood, it has lit my home-made blackmatch when I've tried it.

p.s. I have looked for jet lighters in a smoking store but couldn't find any, where do you get them guys?

A cooking store, as they are used for making creme-broulee (sp?) and such.

Sparklers are a poor substitute for fuse, but I can see how they may be used for lighting stubbon compositions... that's if you can light the sparkler in the first place!
