Neither, every true caffeinated pyro will have ground 'Jamaican Blue Mountain' in theirs...

hi jokeing apart,which coffee grinder is the best,is there a daddy of grinders out there i should know about,you know some big old thing from the seventy's, thats the holy grail of grinders? also i must of walked passed loads at carboots but now i cant find one have you lot snapped them up 
,ps must be cheap like me

Uhm, at least make sure you don't buy one that does not mess about
I use our old coffee grinder that we used for coffee, but it seems as if theres a leakage. The powder that is crushed seep down the motor and out the bottom of the grinder!

The holy grail of pyro coffee grinders. Removable/washable (leakproof) stainless steel grinding chamber, 200W motor, and not too expensive.
I just realized that since they come in 3 colors, I need two more ! I'd like a red one for most fuels, the white for oxidisers, and the black one I have, is already used to airfloat charcoal in seconds. I have a had a couple of cheaper ones, and noticed the same effect pudi.dk mentioned, where the finely ground material leaks through into the motor. I've had charcoal dust combust with a bright orange glow inside the grinder - imagine if I had tried quickmix BP in there!!!

Unfortunately Kitchenaid seem to have discontinued this one in the UK - believe me I've tried to find some! - hence my recourse to the blender with grinder attachment. If I'm in the US sometime I'll likely stick a couplein my suitcase though...

hmm, i'am sure ive seen one of these on a bp guide somewhere...they where useing it to break up good size chunks of charcoal,looked effective

It should do, remember its made for grinding up coffee beans which aren't exactly soft

If you can try and get crystalline KNO3 it make grinding it a heck of a lot easier, I’ve ground MgAl in a cheap grinder from K-mart so it as I said it should handle it.
