Thanks again for another great meeting...

Video footage to follow as soon as I've mashed it up and thought of a suitably silly tune... (well actually I have already!).

Yes, a big thanks to steve and family for the best event yet :) Even though I've got bird flu and had a headache all day, I really enjoyed it, oh and my hearing's coming back now

PS - Know what you mean Portfire - We all got birdflu, headaches and temporary deafness - I've also got eyes that look like rare steaks - all good fun though!

Yeah, the day after the camping I woke up and I was really stiff!
OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

Great to see everyone on Saturday. The local jet-wash removed most of the iron oxide and potassium carbonate fallout (Win20?) from the roof of my car B)

Thanks again to Icarus for a fantastic event - you'll not see such variety in pyro anywhere else...

A few pics to add:

Just to add to all the previous posts. Thanks for organising the meet and keeping us all fed Icarus.

It has now got the point where I recognise most of the faces that turned up, it is starting to feel like a community of like minded individuals. I have joined other clubs for some of my other hobbies in the past and I have to say this is the most friendly of all in my experience. A big thank you to everyone who turned up and made this a great day.

Absolutely agree. Everyone has something to teach and something to learn. Pyro is a pretty inexact science/art and things will go wrong, but nobody ever seems to be nasty about it, as I have seen in other hobbies.

Well done everyone for some fantastic pyro and a great day out...

Just a quick thanks to Icarus for hosting a great day once again! and a big thanks to Mrs Icarus for feeding us all! It was very much appreciated by us all. It was nice to get to chat to people without getting rained on this time (well maybe rocket sticks and fallout  )

Arthur Brown: I seem to remember you fired THESE two rockets. If you did, what were they? The breaks were really big and round.

Two commercial TNT 3" ball bead rockets. Possibly no longer retail due to the flash content. But yes, very satisfying flight and burst.

Arthur, have you got a link to a picture of them? Something that might be nice to copy I think.

here are a few more short vids of some of the pyro from the night. We would have filmed more, but we only had a digital camera with a small memory card.
