Whilst I have every respect for Panda fireworks (I've used some of their cakes and they were good), I find it quite disgusting that they're being involved at this early stage - why aren't British companies being consulted??
Trying to do something very beautiful but very dangerous very safely....

I would like to see a British display company do this entirely, no french influence for example....

This is only my opinion however...

for a british event it should be a top british pyrotechnic company come on we have loads of them here, why do we need others to come and do them i am sure some company here could put on a good display. oh and remember that in china they used CGI for some of the fireworks they wont get away with that over here, thats another reason it should be a british company

I don`t see why at least 3 or 4 british firework companies can`t share the occasion,.....remember there is the opening and closing ceremony plus the para olympics as well, and thats without the help of probably many on this website who would like to get involved in some capacity.

I believe with other stage effect companies, plus military displays, and technical innovation companies,........we could in theory surpass anything seen before!

But there are others that would. Remember, events like the Olympics are meant to foster national industries to improve and if necessary develop the skills needed - after all it's our taxes that are paying for it!

Ok guys, those that are interested in making there views known, should write or telephone to the contact address below as a first call,

I have emailed them a few weeks ago, but have not recieved a reply!,.........personally, I would ask to speak the persons in charge of event co-ordination involving firework displays or event management, or even the appointee`s of outside contractors.

If anyone of you are fortunate enough to find a name or email address of the person in charge, then please post it on this forum so we can make our feelings known!

thanks
