Hope the weather will hold out tonight. Having my fireworks between 6 and 8pm.

Looking okay at the moment!

Pics to follow!

Anyone else having any tonight?

Well it's over I let them all off. Slightly disappointed with the Men Shun stuff. Even though most of it was Old Spec regs. Next year I am definitely going to get all of my Pyro from Epic. I will post some pics in the 'What Did You Get" post tomorrow. My rockets were very disappointing. Most of them were Brightstar Polar Punisher rockets which I saw a video of in a seasonal store. They were nothing like what I was shown and I am most annoyed at them. The other High Fidelity rockets were also very disappointing. Some of them didn't even go off.

Luckily the Triple H bomb and the Brightsar, Towering Inferno made a nice finale and the poor rockets were quickly forgotten.

The Nightstar barrage pack was okay and they all packed a punch but I felt a lot of them were very much the same to one another and could have done with a bit more variety.

Also, just a message to anyone for next year. Avoid supermarket fireworks at all costs! The Space Attack Standard cake from Sainsbury's consisted mainly of polystyrene! The Fission cakes were also a disappointed. Luckily though, I expected these and fired both of them together.

It was the 'Barrage Blast' pack. A little disappointing. The other larger barrages were good though. I am certainly going to be traveling to Epic next year though. With a slightly larger budget I should be able to get more and better quality pyro.

I actually found that Men Shun's older spec fireworks were worse than the new 2008 range. Darkness Invader, Lethal Tank, Lightning Strike etc all seemed rather same and monotonous to me. On the other hand, Palms Away and Cosmic Collision seemed more impressive in terms of colour and effect. Strange!
