I tested a few in a rocket header the other night and seemed to have improved a bit. Just bouquet style horse tail type dumping burst. I reckon they's shed a lot more during a hard break.
Taken on a modest mobile camera. Does it no justice. It was windy as hell too but on a calm night I can get these babies super high without turning into the wind. The stuff is very vibrant and hangs for an eternity. The ti burns up in the first 2 seconds and then there are lots of lazy bits igniting randomly amongst the charcoal gold dust. Not as twinkly as a true firefly as I didn't use any Barium Sulphate or delay agents but it really is a wonderful effect.
I like to use BBQ charcoal and I grind it to death in the bullet blender with the sulphur. I find this really helps the gold embers shine much brighter and for longer. I am going to run an experiment where the powdered charcoal and sulphur are heated in a popcorn pan. I am hoping the sulphur will melt into the porous charcoal. Popcorn pans have a hand operated internal mixer build into the lid so I can stir it up as it cooks without too much vapour escaping.
My order of Barium Sulphate came today so will try this formula with a touch and see it I can get the Ti to delay into a dense twinkling nebula effect.
