Suitable for a ball mill?

Ah but thats a pvc jar and therefore brittle, mine are HDPE and 12mm walled at minimum. I would expect somewhat more of a pop if these went!

Anybody that’s coming along to the AGM this year will be able to see my wacky ball mill. it's efficient, cheap to make and a jar designed to fail early in the event of ignition, without the large build up of pressure and possible associated shrapnel and that makes it less bang, less bucks.

Just noticed that this is my 2000th post - what have I been doing with my life!!!!

The only time them HDPE drums will break is if the contents ignites! and I would hazard a guess you would only loose an end cap ;-)

Again Id not want to view which end came off personally but I would say the end secured by just the few screws rather than the end sealed on :-)

You gota try this out phil ;-) it would make a great video! and probably an even greater boom! the remains could go in your equipment testing museum along with the mortar tube tests.

:-) I may be sold but its a bloody expensive test as the jar lids cost a fortune
