UKPS trade demos

Would any of the importers that frequent this forum be interested in attending a UKPS organized trade day (night).

I can hear you all now saying, i don't want to show my range in direct comparison to my competition.

I say, well why's that then ?

I'm still working on the exact details but the idea would be for importers to show their wares pretty much side by side, like for like.

Save money on venue hire, open to cat4 and cat3 firework suppliers.

Southern and northern venues.

Think wedding fair for firework company's !!!

The industry has issues with the new EU regulations and CE marking of fireworks.

At present, there is very little new coming onto the market.

Yeah i suspect you're right. Still a bit of compare and contrast between a few importers would still be a fun evening !!!!

The last UKFR event (TITS) had a a demo section before the main displays, that was pretty good. It was just for Cat 2 & 3 consumer stuff.

It would be good to see some of the Cat 4 stuff compared side by side.

its a good idea but may be better posting on the ukfr as not many importers see this forum.

I haven't actually got round to joining UKFR yet, i will do soon thou.

Feel free to put a link up for it, maybe we could organize a joint event/trade day and competition on the same day/night

The big issue is that different people want different fireworks. I HATE a firework with a "finale" for "show" purposes, but people who want just a single firework having one that has lots of different effects and a finale fits the bill perfectly.

I should imagine most importers would have a variety of different fireworks for all the peoples different firework needs and preferences.

Generally speaking cat4 stuff tends not to have 'built in' finales.
