Caramanos, you are doing well!

Half a teaspoon of my BP lift (willow with +3% dextrin) below for comparison:

BP lift burn rate test (Divx, 1.2MB)

A few grams of my black powder I usually use for lift and breaks.

Its prepared accordingly to the CIA method with -17°C spiritus.

I made some mortars and shells. The mortars are newspaper with dextrin glue. Shells are office paper with a combo of wood glue, white glue and wallpaper glue. They seem to harness the energy of Bp allot better. 1g lift it farther than with the bought 1" mortars. The mortar has an ID of about 1/2".

I just tested the scaled up version of my mortar. Shot a pasted 1"IDx2" long canister shell out of a homemade 12" long mortar. Used about 3g of lift, gave me a huge boom with just meal, nice echoe and all.

Hehe but 12" is WAY too long. 6 times the ID in lenght is just ok. The longer the tube, the more lift you´ll need.

Also the larger the shell the shorter the tube. (In proportions! Not saying that a 12" would need a shorter tube than a 3") :P

Thats what I thought. However 1g more of Bp lifted the bigger shell twice as high as the smaller one. I should experiment with my chrony to see with what configurations I achieve greater speed. I just made a fiberglass mortar, how thick should the walls be? I just pulled the dowel out and the walls are about 5 to 6mm thick, is this ok? Also the piece is about 10" long and made to fire my small 2" long canister shells. Should I just cut it in half and make 2 mortars?

This is a shell I just fired using my fastest BP yet. The lift is 2g and the shell is just filled with Bp, wrapped in string and covered in black tape.

This is my best granulated BP until now:

Black Powder

And this is the best one not granulated:
Simple BP

Keep in mind that this BP is not ball milled, not coffe grinded, just whit a mortar and a pestle:D

5 grams of that got a film canister (80gm) at least 60m in the sky, not bad for fertilizer, home made charcoal and dodgy sulfur

Just a work of warning I wouldn’t use sparklers for ignition with loose powder or for ignition at all, just need one of them sparks and it goes up in your face.
