Looks like there has been an accident at SP fireworks.

I hope everyone is OK

Likewise - I think several of us know people from SP.

Noted that some of the reports say 'factory' as usual...

Yep. I have seen the video and it was god awful to see. I hope all that is lost is the fireworks and building and not any lives. According to reports 4 people have been injured and 1 is unaccounted for.

I've worked with SP fireworks in the past - I went out to Liuyang with them some time ago.

I heard the bangs and crackles last night, but initially thought it was a show where the FIRE-ALL button had been accidentally hit. It was only when I saw the news this AM that I realised what had happened.

Still no news at this point about the missing person. Sobering ....

The 53 year old that was arrested has been released with no charges being brought.

Just saw that two bodies have been found .This is a very very sad day.

Very bad year for fireworks. 4 deaths that I know of.

Lets hope that what happened (in both tragedies) is made known to all in the fullness of time and lessons can be learned - without knee-jerk reactions from the authorities...

Very very sobering,

It brings to the fore what we are using and the possible dangers therein , there will be a lot of us now looking at our safety procedures and seeing what we can improve,

RIP and thoughts go to the families of those involved. 4 deaths in the last 3/4 months in the industry is a sobering reminder of how dangerous fireworks can be.

Very very sad.  Two have been named.  One man was working there unpaid as a favour to a mate and the other one was a customer buying Fireworks.  I've used SP for many years as they're my local supplier and I know how much this will hit them as they are all damn good lads who love their Pyro.

RIP.

It will be interesting to see if they manage to deduce how the blaze started. RIP and thoughts go out to their families
