If you could legislate firework selling periods,what would they be?

This has been covered thousands of times before.
Its NOT PRATICAL other than to ban them compleatly or suggest times which 90% of responsible sellers will keep to.
Because of this issue, this talk is irrelevent.

;)You seem to have got the wrong end of your stick,I did not mean or mention a sales ban but merely a restriction on twice-a-year retailers with NO restriction on year round firework shops!:mad:

This ALREADY exists. Why do you think fireworks are mostly sold at seasonal times now? Its not becasue the seller wishes to remove fireworks from their shelves. Its because there ALREADY IS a voluntary code of conduct relating to the sales period of fireworks in the UK.

But it doesn't apply to (nor should it) apply to all year round firework shops

Atchually, you are WRONG.
It applies to EVERYONE. Its the guidence notes for the WHOLE INDUSTRY not just your local green grocers.
