Nice firing system, but I also noticed your press.

It looks *exactly* like mine! In every detail. Did you use the 24mm threaded rod? Well built btw. What 'size' bottle jack did you use? Just got myself a top of the range enerpac 8 ton jack.

Dang, im 4 mm off. its only 20mm. I used a 2 tonne jack, nothing special. Seems to me that that my press has a sister in the UK :D . It all does the job nicely though, thanks for the positive feedback guys! i feel special now :bounce:

In that case mine will be 20mm as well. It only comes in a few standard diams. It really looks like a spitting image of mine.

Where did you get the holes drilled for your channel to accomodate the bolts? Engineers place?

And how thick is the press deck? Mine is around 15mm solid steel flat bar.

I actually drilled them myself. Luckily enough im a 15yr old boy who loves pyro and just so happens to have a dad with his own work shop :D hes a self employed boiler maker and fitter so i just go down there and aslong as im not in the way hes ok with what i do. my press deck is only 11mm thick. It sounds like your press is a lot more sturdy than mine, and you have a somewhat larger jack.
