I will send you a small sample of the pure stuff for you to try in the next day or two so you can do a few experiments for us to review.

I did a quick test with the following formula

KClO3 55
CuCl2• 3Cu(OH)2 25
Parlon 8
Red gum 7
SGRS 4

What can I say a very very impressive blue. A bit slow, but a good starting point.

Yes, interesting. How would you say it compares to your Copper Benzoate blues in terms of colour and flame envelope?

I only did a couple 2.5 gram 6mm by 2" lances. So it is a bit early to say, but the colour seemed to better even though I was comparing from memory.

I will make a couple of grams of stars up at the weekend as a test if I can feel my fingers in the workshop.

I will post the results on the star formula thread.

That sounds pretty cheap although shipping must have cost a few quid.
Best I have found in the UK is £10/KG plus postage www.oliverbrown.co.uk not bought any yet but looks pretty cheap.

In eastern Europe more chems are available and usually at better prices than in western Europe. Shipping and customs and duties may make cross border purchase more difficult/expensive.
