Hi Guys, i was given a roll of fuse years ago, and it all but used up now. I want to try and find a supplier, but i dont know what its called. If i describe it, maybe one of you guys has come across it and knows what its called.

Ok.......the outer part is yellow plastic, like a very thin straw, the inner is a brown solid, with a single copper wire running down the centre and is very flexible. Ring any bells with anyone?

I want this particular type, as i find it better than Visco or any other type of fuse ive used. It ignites very easily and burns very hot and very fiercely.

Hi again, i called this company and they were very good, but a tad expensive i thought. They quoted me ?1.20 a meter plus ?17.00 postage. I havnt had to buy fuse for years so i dont know what the going rate is, is this reasonable? Compared to what you can buy visco for in the USA, it seems really dear. Is the company expensive or just a case of Rip-Off-Britain again?

The postage seems excessive, but possibly they are doing it the proper way and paying for a courier who deals with exposive material... but I am not sure if such conditions apply to 1 meter of fuse!

The ?1.20 is a lot in comparison with green visco fuse, or even time fuse, but is cheaper than I have seen others selling it for.
75 : 15: 10... Enough said!

Malcolm at TPL will not rip you off; I get all my stuff from there. The carriage charge is, as adamw rightly points out, because they use a delivery company which has ADR drivers etc. It's not that bad when you consider that most firework suppliers also charge around ?15 -?20 carriage charge. Buy bulk!

What are the laws about selling this PIC to us? Everyone's always told me that it would be illegal to supply me with any fuse, and which delivery company actually deals with such items?
