I have noted that it is advisable to read as many books as possible on Pyro subjects, this advice is understandable, and the word "advisable" (this being my choice of wording)would be an understatement and in that spirit I ask if any of you were willing to provide any ISBN Numbers or just the titles/Authors of books that you would personally recommend, I am not asking to make my life easier, just to help me make the right choices.

Hi, and welcome to the forum!

I personally recommend Fireworks Principle & Practice 3rd Edition By Rev. Ron Lancaster. It costs ?80 but it's an excellent read.

Alternatively any texts by Weingart (costs around ?15 off amazon IIRC). Also look at Military & Civilian Pyrotechnics by H. E. Ellern.

Happy reading.

Takeo Shimizu , 'Fireworks The Art Science and Technique. What Lancaster doesn't cover Shimizu does. Not very British of me I know but I hear they make fireworks all over the world nowadays.

I think that the books mentioned should keep you busy for a while. When your through digesting those then we will offer more titles. There is at least one other source that is very useful indeed but I'm not going to post it for fear that it will look like I'm advertising.:bounce:
