just been to my new local lidl discount store and top my suprise they had fireworks in store, looked them over for 5 or so mins and decided to buy two packs of the large size rockets each pack contains 5 fairly big rockets which normaly sell for ?10.00 but was suprised to see reduced for half price ?5.00, also bought a heavy box of purple moon selection pack which has nearly 20 small garden fireworks for only ?4.00 ! now i expected i was buying rubbish but for that price i was not grumbling, gets home opens the box and lit a random gardon type and hell was suprised how good it was for such a cheap price.ok it didnt last long but the effect was not bad. this is not a plug for lidl but some info for fellow enthusiats to check it out if you want to pay a cheap price and want a reasonable quality with a good quantity.

You guys are so lucky being able to buy fireworks all year round, even at a supermarket!
Here in Holland you are only able to buy fireworks the last 3 days of the year and alowed to set them of between 10 am 31-12 and 2am 01-01.

We can only buy fireworks a couple of weeks / days before Bonfire night and a couple of days before New Year. If you want them all year round, you have to goto a firework shop that sell them for Birthdays / Weddings ect.

found myself on the land tonight watching next doors fireworks in the distance, said to my lad get one of the large rockets from lidl's. lit the thing and waited. it propelled itself quite high up, the wind was calm but it still went up pissed, the propulsion noise was reasonable, the break had a nice bass boom followed by a typical explosion of colour and sound effects to impress or anger any one who saw it. out of ten for the best you can buy from a supermarket i would give it say 7 or 8, but then take into account the price being so cheap ?10.00 for 5 i would give it another point thus making it 8 /9 . so yes i would recommend them.

The brand's not bright star, there actually from cosmic group. Me and my mom bought a Black Nebula firework selection pack, which was cool for ?15, but it had so many fountains in it. We also bought a pack of 9 Little Red Devil rockets from our local news agents. It sais on the pack
"Bursts to stars with bang" but the effect only had a nice titanium flash, still pretty cool for such small rockets though!

Yeah the Dancing Red Devil 'Little Devils' have been very popular this year. Weve had many sales with this rocket. Pretty good price for the rocket.

We are currently talking to DRD about their packaging. Some of their products are labelled as 'Display Fireworks, 25m' but they are actually Garden Fireworks. They have also got some typos on there lettering, and have the wrong effects on some fireworks. Most of their rockets say 'Bursts to stars with bang' so that needs to be improved.

We are also waiting to see if DRD will start to put stickers or something on their rockets to label the effect.
