I saw this reviewd in the tv guide! Should be good!

Anyone used to watch Brainac with Richard Hammond? It was very funny but i always noticed the explosions were much over rated! I.e Adding Pyro into it aswell!

I would really like to see a life size, i.e. 36 barrels of grain going up. Compulaive as well as essential viewing I think.

I don't think it will detonate, just deflagrate massively (it will be above the critical mass required for BP)

Also, did any one watch 'Rocket Man' (on BBC1)...

Nice idea, but the pyro was all wrong (just shows what producers know!) and at some times dangerous (ever heard of safety distances!?)

And on Braniac tonight on Sky 3 - Nitrogen Tri-iodide (or 'exploding paste') carried around (supposedly) in a paint tin

i was going to see rocket man, but i was watching AP instead. i thought it will denotate(BP), something like 500kg needed?

Just watched it now, very interesting to see the experiments set-up, the best bit was blowing-up the shed

A friend of mine did the pyro effects. It wasn't all pyro, they used various rocket motors. A rocket motor that used AP/CP (Amonium Perchlorate) and one hyrbid that used Nox/Gox as propellent.

The Gunpowder Plot is on now, going through Novemeber 5th in very high detail.

i'm watching the show atmo, it's good, had a few trails of BP burning so far.

edit: interesting, the spanish place ball mills BP with wooden media and a wooden barrel. big media.

I'm still worried about all that concrete, surely there's gonna be one hell of a lot of rock flying if it manages to blow it up.

Yes, im watching it (and recording it if anyone wants clips later)
I think the concrete is so thick that apart from the many thousand small chunks, the majority of it will probably hold togethter into big blocks. We shall see i hope!

The mills were interesting, i wonder how long those 2 would run to make 1000kg!
Also the the way they refused to advise how it would be delivered. That wories me slightly, is the program not telling or is that the real way offical transport is done? I suppose its safer if its 'need to know', but sounds a bit dodgey...

Holy cr*p! Awesome, truly awesome!

That was something I DID NOT expect! So much power in BP, I really didn't think that there would be that much of a explosion, because the crates wern't strong enough to contain the pressure for long enough. Boy was I wrong!

The shockwave was amazing, I wish they would have played frame by frame shots!! I love the ripple of the roof when it explodes!
