:) :D This is happening next thursday at 7.00pm on top of Accrington Arndale Centre and a local firm Classic Fireworks of Blackburn is doing the display! Their retail fireworks range is very very good indeed, Magical Mayhem is an extremely nice fan barrage(me and Dave used a pair together on Sat Nov 5th in Rochdale), it starts off with silver comets and pearls, then gold glittering brocade breaks litter the sky, then glittering whistles and silver crossette bursts follow on, then red green and blue mines with crackle mines rounding off a simultaneous blast of titanium salutes and spinners! :)

I'll be along there with my camera/tripod :)

To the guy who said, why, why not?!? lol

Never heard of it, I know of at least three places that have a display when they switch on the lights every year.

Just got back from the xmas lights being switched on in Liverpool, and so much for fireworks!! there was none!! :( total disapointment. All their was, was some big scale lancework, if i can even call it that. Oh well, got me out the house for a couple hours lol

It was a brilliant fast and furious 10mins with every effect you can think of! Whistles/crackles/huge bangs plus every colour, effect and pretty you could think of! They also had several shapeburst shells, butterflies/smiley faces/bow ties and even a HUGE Santa!!! A great show. :D

It could have been an American sourced import shell that the display company got specially;it burst in the shape of Santa's head in green with a red hat and silver bobble on top, there are one or two companies in the states which specialise in specialised shape burst shell effects, shame it couldn't have had the Santa laff HO HO HO engineered into it or him whistling loudly(whistles screaming in his mouth)! Now that WOULD BE something worth seeing!
