No Boric Acid.

I was disturbed to find that you can't seem to buy boric acid at the chemists any longer. Both my local independent branch and Boots. It's not even on the independents supply list. So hold on to it, if you have some.

Seems odd, not exactly a dangerous compound, I suppose it's not that profitable to sell.

They probably want people to buy expensive (branded) dilutions instead.

I always get mine at labpak, never had problems. Ordered recently too.

You fellas are getting hosed on buying lab grade materials. Take a look at the cheap roach power at your local hardware store..most are pure boric acid.

Its only 4 pounds odd, not a bank breaker. Plus it aint got other crap in it! When ever I mix chemicals I like to know im using decent stuff especially when its for stopping reactions!

Thanks for the replies. It's just a pain in the backside to have to order it, when until recently, I could pick it up whilst doing my local shopping.

Well... right next to my store there is a pharmacy who sells it, costs 1,20 euros per box. (200 gramms) Dirt cheap!!!
