I thought I'd post this picture of recently banned items such as airbombs, whistle pop mini rockets and proper signal rockets, they will be nostalgia very soon.

Forgive my dying braincells, but what (In an insider firework type of way) did airbombs and signal rockets do that not banned fireworks don't?

(Please also forgive the appalling English in which that last was constructed!) :D

Jumping Jacks are also a thing of the past :( They were hardly dangerous, just erratic. (But that WAS the point)

I think it was the annoying factor of kids being illegally sold them, and using them every waking moment, so as usual with fireworks, the law isn't enforced as it's a lot easier to deprive legitimate sensible people of pleasure by banning them rather than go to all the trouble of actually enforcing the law.

And tourbillions - AKA helicopters/ aeroplane.

Mind you, when I was kid, my dad set one off in the garden and dashed into the outhouse to watch. The thing took off in curved path, came in the door, went in the front of his jacket and out down his sleeve! By some miracle, no injuries and no damage. The pyro gods were with us that night...

They are from the same place as Brighton Fireworks is selling, but the old good ones are now sold out and we will have the sound restricted ones.

BTW Luke, sorry I didn't get there to meet you at the Rainbow on the 4th, everything took longer to do than expected.
