Has anybody had any luck with finding this material at a good price here in Europe? This material is used in the steel industry and comes in a form of lumps between 0-50 mm which should be able to crush down to smaller single granules.

Vendors in scandinavia don't stock this but sell it directly from the UK, hence the price is a bit steep when buying in relatively small amounts(280NOK for 1 kg in 25kg lots). Perhaps there are cheaper sources in the UK? If anyone knows more about this I would appreciate any info.

Just found a guy on ebay selling metallurgical supplies.

jarmondbrinkley

He has granules up to 5-10mm.
I'm not sure how his prices compare to others, might be worth contacting him.

Thanks a lot for the info, EnigmaticBiker. I'll check his prices.

I wonder how this stuff is to crush in smaller bits. If it is just small granules that are lumped, it should be possible. But solid pieces of metal will propably not be easily crushable.
