My first shell :-D

Yay, my first shell was a half success. The shell broke perfectly and the effect was nice, but I didint put enough lift in. It only went about 30ft, then fell and the shell bursted at about 10ft.

Inside the shell were about 10 micro stars made from cutting up larger stars until they were about 3mm.

I mixed it with BP and i used a short peice of visco rolled up in masking tape which ducted the ignition into the middle of the shell.

It worked quite well...

In future can you post shell related post in the shells thread, it keeps everything tidy.

it does now, when i posted it youtube was processing it. click the link again, it shoudl work now.

sorry, i didnt realise there was a shell place...

if i used granulated instead of powdered, im assuming it would go higher? how much granulated would i need for a one inch shell weighing about 30g

I'd use about 3-5g, depending on how hot your BP is.

lol, yeah she likes watching and she is always very loud and suprised...

hehe.

I have just finished granulating so im going to try launching another later on....
