Well, I'm assuming (possibly very wrongly) that it will be much cheaper from abroad.

Can you give me an indication of what to expect to pay in the UK ?

My best quote is for less than 2p per foot :o

Now, I dunno how much shipping is going to be, but as long as I order enough, I should be looking at an average of no more than 3p/4p a foot.

Now that's what I call cheap :D

HJS.

EDIT: On the note of a legitimate reason, well apart from Pyro, what other uses does fuse have ?

I can get PIC from the UK for a reasonable price on 25m and 150m rolls. I might get some one day but not any time soon, I have no reason for it, my Black Match will keep me happy. If I was, then I would say that I wanted to extend the length of the fuse on fireworks because I am a safety nut and think that it might flash through or something to that effect. You could also say that you want to use it for model rocketry rather than electrical ignition.

I pay ?3.00 for a 50 metre roll of fuse. Thats cheap in my book. Be assured you can get fuse and such in the UK if you have a valid use for it. I regulary use it in rocketry.

Many suppliers quite rightly will not supply to Joe Public, and will ask you at the very least for a valid reason, and on a more common basis to see your storage certificate.

Guys, I understand that there are companies out there (in the UK) that do supply.

Sadly, I don't have any form of licence (except for drivers  ) so have a slim chance of getting any. And to top it off, I can't even find a supplier <_<

So why not go to a country where they are not so paranoid about it and just bring some over. Before you go on about, they are not being paranoid etc, that's how it seems. It's not like there are not several companies in the USA that sell to ANYONE.

If it is safety they are concerned with over here, they could have a few other measures in place. They could restrict age, they could get you to sign some form of agreement (can't remember which US company makes people do that)

Basically, there are, or should I say should be other ways to monitor/restrict the access that people have. But really, it is only fuse. I can get the chems to make BP & FP but no fuse. I think that is a little stupid.

The cost is not that much of an issue. If I can't get it here, I don't have much choice really :(
