New positions in the UKPS

After spending the year building up the foundation that require to run any small organization, we are now in a position to expend into some of the larger tasks that we mentioned in the AGM. Unfortunately, it will not be possible for the moderation team only to take on those tasks. We need your help. In the next few weeks we will publish “positions” that we need volunteers for. While anyone from the forum can apply, a clear advantage will be given to society members (to register with the society, go to http://www.pyrosociety.org.uk/join-us/ ). Please make sure that you have the suitable free time to take on a position you volunteer for. We need stability in those positions to move things forward.

We are looking for an individual to help monitoring Fireworks related news items and media oriented forums. We are looking for a member who can meet the following criteria’s:

1) Able to dedicate at least an hour every two weeks for the position.
2) Internet knowledgeable.
3) Has broadband in his present address.
4) Capable of good speaking, reading and writing qualities in English.
5) Interested in promoting positive view of the firework usage by the public in this country.

Please be realistic before applying for this position. Are you really capable to dedicate the time? Are you in a stable accommodation or likely to move often? Do you expect your job to be UK based or you fly often?

Anyone interested, please send a PM to BigG. We are looking to activate this position within three weeks, so please be quick to apply.

We will shortlist a group of people within two weeks and submit an exact information about what they are expected to do – at this point they will have a chance to reconsider – and from those still interested, we will select one within three weeks.
