epic, they where open at 6am this morning with lots "sold out" as i was standing there i saw three grands worth go out in twenty mins!

Epic seem to be selling loads this year! I just wonder how its affecting the other shops nearby- there are a few! Most obviously Brother's retial shop in Huddersfield, and Great Northern. I fail to see why anyone would buy from Brothers full price when Epic is 40% off just down the road.
OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

Wow. Looking at some of these videos, it's amazing how honest the vendors are here. We may have "window dressing" but they don't go to the extent of messing around with their promo videos to make their fireworks look better.

Good point- some firework effects don't look very good on video. Also video technique, mainly how close they zoom in to the burst, can make a firework's burst look bigger/smaller.

In a dark sky it is difficult to tell size, because there is nothing to use for comparison. A good example is Wild Horses- these are big busts, but the video makes them look titchy. Fireworks International got round this problem by firing three at a time on their website videos!

Also, here is a strange one: Tigers Revenge this is actually three being fired at the same time, but look at those really big bursts (there are about nine in total) . They are obvious- massive, sky filling mortar style bursts. Where did they come from????? They certainly arn't part of Tiger's Revenge- I've fired several, and have never seen those big bursts.

To see an accurate Tigers Revenge, check out the link in my thread about a forum display.

Haha, you made me laugh with this post Dave. I saw that link a few weeks ago and wondered where those large mortars came from. I'd seen a different Tigers Revenge vid link before then and those mortars werent on that one. I've got a TR for my do this year and that vid link you talk about gave me the idea to purchase a couple of Earth Shakers. I'm going to fire them at the same time as the TR, I think they both have very similar burn times so it should be ideal.

Here I thought it was illegal to blatantly lie about a product on the UK...

That is, after an incident in the video gaming software industry where an american publisher was confronted after they claimed their product would work on a certian piece of hardware as a minumum, when in fact it didn't.

I don't think its its blatantly lieing (how do you spell that?) Unless they said " Here is a video of a Single Tigers Revenge " then they are not lying, as such.

Even saying " Here is a video of Tigers revenge in action " doesn't commit them to saying its just a single unit.

What was slightly dodgy was when the DJ at that demo night said things like " All this for just £5 " , when it was three units with a RRP of £5 each. Well that was wrong- he shouldn't have said that. I think that was just a genuine error, though.
