I understand that it is very hard to offer work experience in pyrotechnics due to insurance, but I was wondering if anyone who does other jobs might have any placements in east surrey or west kent? I am currently doing chemistry, physics maths and biology at AS levels and I'm particularly interested in weapons research, pyrtoechincs, anything with some involvement in chemistry or physics etc, especially energetic materials.

Any work based on military use of explosives will require you to be vetted very thoroughly. Suggest you go to your local forces recruitment centre with a clear objective of what you wish to do. Possibly a course at degree level would help, ask them. Contact all the suitable military and "government" research centres even vaguely near you. There is a military college doing A level type education targetting its students towards the mil way of life. Cranwell I think.

LOTS will depend on your background checks then your immediate family and possibly a generation back, Also your friends and associates.
