I came across this UK based industrial supplier of Al powders. Has anyone purchased their products before? If so, I'd be interested in hearing about prices and order policies. I'm going to send an enquiry myself. If there is interest, I can inform you how it goes.

MOst manufacturers want to supply in huge quantities to industrial business users. They also want to check bona fides before they will trade. - Bank reference, company registration, VAT registration, business premises, etc.

If they sell to you you may need a forklift to unload the lorry!

Chris - Alpoco is a world giant of supplier. They will not do business with individual. They will probably do business with a small company - and they report every deal they do to the authorities. Not sure what the authorities do with it, but they are not going to be interested in you (Alpoco - the authorities might).

The ART of finding a supplier is to find one that will supply you in reasonable sized packages at reasonable prices.

It's also very unlikely that any manufacturer will be willing to supply home users, or even small businesses.

Look for places that have prices posted for kilos! That way tou don't get saddled with lots of chem you may never want.

Tiranti supplies medium powder in tins of 500g. They sell it for casting in resins, but you can just buy it! And 500g isnt a mad quantity to have or a mad investment to make.

Sorry, I didn't really specify my needs in the starting post. I am looking for a supplier that can supply in 50 to 100 kg lots, as I am looking to resell . I am able to make all orders through the company I work for, so that has not been a problem in the past. I have received very good prices from several oriental suppliers. Minimum order has been around 100 kg. The only problem is that shipping from India or China is more expensive than from Europe. That's why I would prefer a 'local' supplier. I have a order comming in from Nitroparis right now, mostly oxidizers however. I am looking for more competitive prices on metallic fuels. I don't think any local company can beat the prices of the oriental suppliers, but shippng to consider, I have to evaluate wich option comes cheaper to me.
