Just been speaking to the major trainer for this lot! http://www.stage-pyr...forum/index.php --If the forum or the society wants an exclusive one day training session in stage pyro USE then he is prepared to run one for us.

While stage pyro doesn't feature highly in most people's aims here, since doing the course and becoming a member -checkable by all cos my name and pic are on the site! Some new suppliers have opened to me for both devices and insurance. Several people I have contacted saw my membership as a measure of competence.

Anyone who clicks on the new courses button can find a course local t them and book and attend, OR a group of us could book an exclusive course.

Every piece of paper that helps to say I care, I comply with the law, I keep up to date, has to be a good plan for keeping on the right side of the law.

Admin - I have the booking details if you wish them. 12 people minimum and 24 people max on a course.

I would certainly be interested in this.

I work in a school and do a lot of stage work. Have often used stage pyro and it would be good to get some paperwork to support it. Might even get the school to pay!

This course can be run in a large hall or small theatre.

If the Society wants to run it someone please contact me for details.

If not the society then either forumites could attend a suitable course near their home or an individual could promote the course.

The first necessity is that there be enough people paying to cover the costs.

i'm definitely interested in this, any more info? the only courses i can find are safety awareness, not in rigging and firing

The course I propose is called Safety and Awareness.

It starts with basic safety and law then demo of stage fx devices then a hands on session where you wire and fire fx devices.

Is there any update for a course to take place?
