Most of you will know Cooperman435. Well I've been helping him create a new website which can be found here. What I would like to ask from you all is if you could all post up your personal pyro websites or sites you feel relevant to pyrotechnics and fireworks in the weblinks section of the site. Would be nice to get a little site database made up.

I would also like to ask if UKPS run a RSS feed of news they post up as I would love to add it to his site, I've added the BPA feed but the news seems to be old ( late last year ) also please feel free to add the UKPS website to weblinks.

Any suggestions or additions to the site are welcome.

Thanks.

Ian.

I've had a good look around the site its really good. Just one thing i was looking at the downloads and i kept closing the tab and thus closing the whole site. I know its simple but if you could change the downloads so they open in a new tab/window. that would be great. I am currently trying to convince the parents to let me print off nearly all the downloads as its such useful information.

thanks
James

Thanks for the feedback it's appeciated. Unfortunately they are .PDF and .txt files which is set in most browsers to open automatically. If it were say a .exe file it would probably download to your PC automatically. All I can suggest is right click on the download link and Save As and you should be able to save it to your PC :D

Hope this helps.

Ian.

Yes Cooperman is a great guy, I've bought a load of stuff from his shop and highly recommend him, always quality products as they are the same he uses and always packaged well and fast delivery. I'd recommend anyone looking to buy some pyrotechnic supplies to check out his online shop.

Also I've enabled Users on the forum to embed your Youtube videos, so please feel free to showcase your videos on the Cooperman forum, I've already posted up some of my amature attempts.

Which can all be found Here

If you go into tools/options/content in Firefox you can alter the action taken when a file is opened, I am pretty sure this facility is on Explorer as well but I am not familiar with the newer editions.

You won't go wrong dealing with Cooperman he is a top bloke.

Ammo-Nx, is the layout a downloaded template?
In my opinion it is a bit fustrating design, maybe something simpler would do.

I agree it is a bit "busy" but I think your site ( http://www.pudi.dk/ )goes to the other extreme.

Well its a standard PHPNuke layout and the theme is probably one of the more basic ones. Not sure what you mean by busy though. The simple tree structure on the left isn't particularly difficult to understand. From a graphics designers perspective I'd consider the theme quite basic and easy to use rather than frustraiting. That said it is a CMS( Content Management System ) which do sometimes take a little getting used to if your not familier with them.

Thanks for the feedback though, it is appreciated and I'll take on board what you have suggested. I could maybe add some different themes that users can choose from. :D

rr22, I took the site down and wrote some random things.
Beside this I removed all my YouTube videos.
The explanation is a bit long, but I'm not sure what to do with my future homepage now. Before I converted it to random text, it was just a "under construction" picture.

Ammo,
by "busy" I mean the shading, reflection effects and so on,they look nice but for me detract from clarity, but it could just be my old eyes! I have joined though and I recommend everyone to check out my bad joke in the forum.

Pudi,
Seems I have not perfected my "Humorous post" composition, maybe 10% less sarcasm?
Back to comedy 101 for me!
