Heres a few of my first attempts at shells and starmines, tell me what you think and how i can improve:

D1 Starmine: http://homepage.ntlw...terstarmine.MOV

C8 Shell: http://homepage.ntlw...ve/c6 shell.mov

D1 Shell: http://homepage.ntlw...ove/d1shell.avi (Need DivX Codec)

Both shells were 6/8" OD and about 1 1/2" long. Flying fish fuse for the fuse.

I thought they came out pretty well, quite symetrical break. Both shells were filled with granulated bp and stars together in the main cavity of the shell, no burst charge/bag was used as such. Both were spiked using cotton string.

Comments and constructive criticism welcome.

Looks great for your first attempt, you cannot really get better results for really small shells.

Once you get the basics down its not to difficult to make bigger and bigger things, just takes more time and care.

Just Launched a rocket, 10mm ID, 3mm Nozzle, 45mm length, core was half the length of the motor.

Looks like it blows up just after take off but it looks like the thrust continues till it gains height so maybe not.

To me it looks like it did cato, the end plug would have blown out and the fuel still left in the motor was burning of. Nice try though.
