40 foot ISO container will allow on licence 2 tonne of powder. Also if the container is more than 150meters from a dweling then a halfway alarm is requested to be fitted.
Depending where you store your container will also reflect on what your local HSE says you need to do. Some say you need to lift the container 12 inches of the floor, fit lightning conductors etc etc, some want to visit some dont.
In todays climate, i would have a rolling stock in my store to help with the threat of shortage !.

I believe it's better to buy cakes and candles on an as-and-when basis.
normally would agree with you, but in the current climate I would rather have the stock in the stores

A difficult one, I must say i side with Starsky!
Get the maximum allowed license for the site. If the distances say you can have 500, 1000 or 2000 then get it. It costs the same and you can always use it in the future.
20ft ISO containers are best, I know 40ft are not much more expensive, but the are VERY dark inside once you get past the 20' mark, even in bright daylight. Given the choice I would rather have 2 x 20ft than 1 x 40ft.
