Hey

I'm hoping to create a Rocket Firework so I'm doing some Research, Could anyone tell me a Formula or Details of a Rocket Propellant?

If pretty sure if you use the search function you will find that there is a thread with the details you need on rocket propellents etc,

Basically....when the chemicals expand they all rush to the weakest point of the object/wrapping/coating etc....so if you make it all come out of the bottom then the object will be projected in the direction that the object is facing!
Hope i didnt miss anythin out...just been simpe TBH :D

Part of the expression for rocket power is 0.5mv^2 Thats half the mass times the velocity squared. The solid propellant turns to gas and passes through the nozzle at a velocity. SO you have both M and V The thrust is due to combustion product passing the nozzle at a high velocity.

The design is to get enough fuel burned fast enough to pass out at high velocity, without bursting the tube or blowing the plugs out.

Hmm, dont understand what you are implying? The above formulation states kinetic energy of a (moving) particle. The thrust is obtained by a fast flow of gaseous combustion products through converging part of the 'nozle'. Thrust is poduced when momentum(mass multiplied with velocity) in a Newtonian system is constant. As momentum is constant, mv = MV (mass of rocket*velocity of rocket = mass of gas*velocity of gas), and as the mass of the rocket decreases when fuel burns, and gas flow accelerates as pressure rises inside the combustion chamber, this results in an acceleration vector in the opposite direction of gas flow, thrusting the rocket forward. Grain configurement affects the pressure buildup and thus the thrust curve. That is to give the basics of rocket thrust.
