Yeah, just a general thread about fanned barrages!

I have found that fanned effects are the most popular effect when firing for an audience. I guess the flip side is short duration for the price, but thats fair enough. I like them a lot, much prefere them to single ignitions that fire off single shots for a longer duration. Epic brought out a really good one- Imperial Invasion- many different effects- running fans, mines, "Red Arrows" style effect at the end. Nice!

Men Shun have also produced loads, often using the same effects in different ones- and the "Firework of the Year" from Brothers, Hercules, is a fan. We can be proud that it was produced specifically for the UK market!

OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

Imperial Invasion is 1 of the best cakes of this kind that i have seen especialy for the money around 2 and a half minutes of differnt effects

Epics "Awaken" is also really nice with the widest spread i have ever seen its the same price as Imperial Invasion but only has a 30 seconds firing time but more than makes up for this in its effects i feel

be interesting to see what the new Menshun items are like this year i hear they got a £70 cake that lasts 10 seconds but not sure if its a fan type or not but i assume it is , there old ones such as Doomsday Deterrent were ok though Incredible Invasion was a little long winded and slow in places

Brothers "Night Vision" can be classed as a fan and thats not bad for the money but you really need 2 or 3 fired at once with it only being small and short lived firing time wise

Firework International do a fan barrage called "Dynasty" that retails at £150 and was 1 of the biggest disapoints i have seen especialy given its price

As for the Cube fan items well not seen a bad one yet

I've never seen these- I guess they are marketed at the sort of customer who wants "The most expensive one they make" without really understanding that it won't be any better than something at half the price.

Its now £165!

Fans offer more possibilities than upright cakes alone! But they are only part of the range that makes good displays.

Saw one called -I think- Night Vision last night and really liked it.

Fans fill more sky than up cakes so spread debris over a wider area but you get lots of display from a small firing site.

Keep mannequins and watermelons away from fireworks..they always get hurt..

i like the night vision fan cake as well, especially as they are only around the five pound mark, in my small displays i fire six together for a great wow factor, not bad for the price of just one middle of the road cake
