Would it be possible for people to post their produced material on here for review and to see what people come up with :)?

In addition the UKPS members might be pleased to know that we are currently sourcing some tarp banners with the logo on for events in future.

At the Coombermere abbey show we intend to display them along with some dummy shells for people to view and handle.

Membership packs will also be available for people who are interested in joining.....

I'd like to say how gratified I am that the membership is focussing on promoting the society in this manner. I intend to propose a membership promotion committee at tonights exec meeting - I trust all members who have expressed an interest in helping in this area would be willing to be on the committee...

Good news indeed Regi!

As I've stated before, the 'rank and file' are not kept informed of what is going on, so you must forgive us if we get a little frustrated and start going our own way!

The last minor rant on these lines produced the idea that interested members would be part of the regular 'phone conference' so they could keep in touch and volunteer their services - well it happened once...

Care must be used to use the correct aims and objectives as in the documents of incorporation. These were chosen at the time and are the definition of the society.

As such it might be useful if alongside promotional material there was included a brief "FAQ" about the society- basically outlining what the society is (and isn't) in a simple question and answer format.

EG (simply a random example)

Q- Is the Pyro Society owned by a commercial fireworks company?
A- No- We are an independent organisation.

This could also include basic information, eg-

Q- Will my credit card be charged again after a years membership?
A- No, its a one off payment.

(Disclaimer- the above FAQ points are used as an example only, and are not intended to represent the offical policy of the Pyro Society, please do not treat them as such.)

Could the society post some information on what can go on advertisements like history, details and stuff like that. Would be a great help.

Is there going to be anything planned for around bonfire night season (October onwards) eg a Tent/stall at a demo evening, something like that? I think that will be a good time to appeal for new members, as there is naturally an increased interest around bonfire night.

I'm still working on it. I've got a big shell burst as the backdrop, but want it kind of transparent as It's too domineering. I'm working in 'Coral Draw 12', and It's doing my head in lol....I'll post it when It's something like

Regarding promotial ideas/material etc, I think it would be a good idea to have somethin ready by mid-late October, when there would be a naturally increased interest in fireworks.
