Is it possible to have an online file which users can upload their videos and pictures for the group to see? Or is that too fiddly to arrange? Just thought that might be a handy thing for the new site.

Yeah. Would be best getting a new server or a dedicated server. If there was one, we could use PHP or something to upload the file and then add it to a list.

Anyone know anything about creating your own server others can see using your own bandwidth? Or how to host a website?
Where are the matches?

Well, the server (if you were to make your own) would have to be on and connected to the internet 24/7 (uless you arranged upload and download times) and would need a FTP or HTTP server installed. Basicly, it would be easier to get a minimum feature, high bandwidth hosting service as I don't think any body will be hiring a dedicated server considering the price.

If you wanted to use your computer then it would be best to install a private FTP and arrange upload and download times (say 10am-12am GMT). You would also need to tell everyone your IP every so oftern (it changes every week or so on broadband, I think, but you would have to check with your ISP) so we can find your computer on the net.
