Anyone seen much of these two brands? Thet both seem to be seasonal only. Bulldog has shops dotted about for a few days, Dancing Red Devil tend to appear in seasonals too. Bulldog have the same range as last year- they do some cakes at £4.99, not sure how good they are, or if they are old or new spec.
OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

Yeah- nothing wrong with it, but equally nothing really tempting either. Those £5 cakes would suit someone on a small budget.

They annoy me really, swarming in every Guy Fawkes period and selling the exact same lines in every shop (sometimes shops a couple of miles apart).

They boast they are better value than Tesco/Morrisons/Asda etc. Thing that annoys me most though is they just move into empty shops and put up posters and display cabinets, leaving the rest a mess, it's not very nice.

And were are they after Bonfire night if something mis-fires/goes wrong, will they give you a reciept, or do they just shoot straight off out of the empty shops once Bonfire night is over.

Dancing Red Devil fireworks appear to be a November 5th only brand. RRP's are all over the place and quality is mixed.

www.latifs.co.uk have large stocks - expect them to give these away after next week (last year they sold £50 firework packs for £5 to clear)

I bought 2 packs of Dancing Red Devil rockets a few years ago for New Years Eve from a shop in Bury, they usually stock fireworks (mainly Dancing Red Devil from what I can remember) around Bonfire Night and New Year.

The smaller rockets were 'Little Red Devils' whistle and bang, they good fun and the bigger ones I can't remember the name of, but it was a big pack with larger rockets on top and medium sized rockets in the middle, about 14 rockets in the pack I think.

From what I can remember the big pack were the best rockets I've ever had, I loved them,, simply HUGE burst of stars, effects didn't last that long but huge burst and nice and loud. :)

the little red devils cheated me last year!....one of the fuses actually fell out before i got chance to even light the bloody thing  and the effects said "ejects stars"...a bit disappointed to hear a bit of a *pop* instead........but all in all they were great fun, and for £1.99 for 9 rockets i was pretty happy :)

i had a pretty nice cake from DRD 2 years ago... "devils ring" i think it was called....a brand i've only seen being sold in taxi ranks and car washes

you have to ask yourself why you very rarely (if ever) see these brands in specialist year round firework stockists....

Dancing Red Devil is a brand to avoid. Some of their bigger cakes eject stars only 10-20feet in the air!

I don't think there is anything particularly wrong with Bulldogs fireworks, it is just that they sell them same stuff year after year- it just gets boring, and lacks innovation. Credit to them though for pricing cakes at £5, not £10 Buy one get one free etc.
