While having a trawl through lindchems catalogue came across a compound called Devarda's alloy, according to wiki its an alloy of aluminium 44%-46% and copper49%-51% and zinc 4%-6%,possible potential for some blue/green comps,not overly expensive even at lindchems prices.

Unless it is supplied in assorted particle sizes I think I would NOT like the job of milling it to useful meshes.

I played with this a few years back. Wasn't particularly impressed, IIRC is had spark characteristics similar to copper but with less colour. I only had a small sample of one mesh size, so it might make a nicer effect with some BP in a coarser grade...

Don't let this discourage any experimentation though!

Might well get hold of some,not sure what mesh size they stock as arthur says milling it to a useful size could be a problem still it may have some hidden talents for comps or dare i say that coloured 'flash' word.
