Sounds like a good idea but also remember that you need a storage magazine if you want to store any finished device or comps.

I have spoken to Icarus about it before and I would love to have been the second party for the venture, if only I was a bit closer rather than having to set up my own with the associated costs.

Icarus has a great site for a micro unit with plenty of space for sheds for manufacture, separate sheds for fuel / oxidiser / chlorate storage and a magazine or two etc.

Top bloke if anyone is near him it would be a great opportunity to get a small manufacturing unit working (and I hope he does not mind me saying that he seems to have all of the locals on side which is one of the biggest hurdles).
Phew that was close.

Same character reference from me...

If I was nearer, I would be up for it, but it's a three hour drive for me and it would be hard to take advantage.

If you get it going Icarus, what would the possibilites be of renting space out to members (as opposed to a half share?) eg a few hours manufacturing and a few square feet in your store?

it looks as if there isnt any one close enough to share setting up a micro factory at the moment i wonder whether to establish storage and rent that out in small units . Casual use of micro factory is problematic , however if some one wished to research a device and assess its commercial feasability i see no problem with the manufacture and assessment of prototypes prior to commercial approval being sort .To remain legal an unclassified device would have to fired in a safe on site location on completion not stored or removed from site , Devices that had type approval could be manufactured and taken from the site by any competent person a group of people could fund type approval of their favorite firework they would then be able to manufacture it and take it home if cat 2 or 3 or transfer it to store if cat 4 for commercial use
