I dont recall any questions about charcoal from labpak so i will ask now. does anyone know weather the charcoal from labpak is willow or what? In their catalogue they sell 3 different kinds.. 'Charcoal, animal powder', 'Charcoal decolourizing' and ' Charcoal wood powder'.

WOW do they also sell charcoal! I didn't know that.

But your question:I think the only usefull one is the "charcoal wood powder"

Anything on the charcoal?

By the way I sent labpak an email asking them if they could send me the paper catalogue :D it arived all the way from England!!

So i thought lets order some stuff, I wanted to place an online order but many products are not listed on the webpage,so I sent them a email with my order
alu powder, charcoal, zinkpowder, iron fillings etc. etc.and that they should email me for creditcard info etc.

I have sent this email about a week ago and i heard absolutely nothing  !

Moving your hand over it or even walking past will disturb the reading. In other words, ridiculously sensitive.

The labpak charcoal is useless ;-(

I don't know which wood it's made of but it's about as dense as powdered lead. Looks like the stuff you get if you crush lumpwood from B&Q and burns about as badly.

I'd check out this stuff if you want decent charcoal (although I've not tried it, it must be better than LP's).

willow charcoal costs ?3.50 for 100g approx. thats gonna cost ?5.25 for C, ?.30 for S and ?1.50 for KNO3 thus it would cost ?7 per kilo if you make BP with it

would need to buy 50 packets hehe to use up a 25kilo bag of KNO3

I finally got a email from labpak regarding the order I placed.

85 pound's shippingcharge!!!
I replied with the question as to why the shipping costs were that high, this is what they sent me back:
The materials are Hazardous and need to be shipped by approved carriers, with the correct documentation.
We are in their hands, small quantites are getting uneconomical to send.

The only things I wanted were steel powder, alu powder and some zinkpowder.
To bad :( .

strange, where do you live jerronimo?
they didn't mind sending sulphuric/nitric acid for me or zinc powder, well i guess carriers' hands are acid resistant but not metal resistant hehe
