I saw this a while ago and for some reason think it's fake... Ambient sound sounds looped in places, the colours seem too bright and computer generated. Also the bangs from the break seems to have come from an age old games console...Think 'Who Dares Wins' for the Mega Drive (I think)

I have no doubt it's possible, but need a far better quality vid

Oh, and the delay in the sound from the break is almost instant...From that distance IMO

would you get the falling stars at the end of each burst to change colour the way they did by making a core of one colour and rolling them in another colour mix ?

It's also common practice to use a 'Relay Composition' between the colours. These comps have little light output and only burn for a fraction of a second, the idea is that the change over is seamless as you want the colour to change at the same time as the rest of the stars.

Not only that it stops colour blending too. If you went from red to green without a relay there is a good chance there will be a brief moment of orange too.

Forgot to mention that

Just to add, there are other things to take into consideration such as chemical incompatibility, burn temperature of the first effect. ( could be too "cool" to ignite the relay and may need step priming) Incompatibility can be overcome by a "Buffer" layer, ideally NC based to stop leaching as it will provide a water barrier.

Still amazes me how much you have to take into consideration before you do anything, thats why it's good to get ya books out
