hi, i have found some kno³ on inoxia "http://www.inoxia.co...oduct/167.aspx" which is very cheep (6kg for £14) but is economy grade coarse and was wondering whether it could be ball milled to a fine dust and how long it wouuld take.

I would personally try to find it cheaper, but yes, you can ball mill it, or even coffee-grind it into a very fine powder efficiently and quickly. Regardless, it will be milled quickly if made into black powder so it's fine in "large crystals" or any other form.

You wont find cheap KNO3 at this moment in time mate.
