Hey does anyone know waht 2,4 DNP is?

2,4 dinitrophenol indophenol is a redox indicator I think - is it that?

Why do you want to know? I don't believe this chemical serves any purpose in pyrotechnics.

Its used in organic chemistry in the determination of mixed melting points.
Many org chems decompose lower than their mp but mixtures always melt at lower temps.

Still its prob of no pyro use
