Possibly the wettest day in history, which destroyed gazebos and flooded the finale area!

Thankfully it cleared up nicely for the actual display.

I took photos of the setup and display which can be seen here:

There should also be a few vids on youtube now for those interested.

From the 1st Galaxy mailer:

"Our biggest fireworks show so far this year, the 2009 Nottingham Riverside Festival & Fireworks was awesome. Over the years the average crowds are 50,000+ on the night, all lining the River Trent to watch one of the largest shows in the area. Nearly 500 Cues, 900 x 2" shells and 100's of 3", 4" & 5" Shells, finishing with a huge 7" Vulcan Shell. An accelerating and decelerating chase sequence, lots and lots of Kimbolton Maroons and a very pleased crew and extatic audience. Many Thanks to Nottingham City Council and all those that contributed to the Festival, especially as it was rather wet and difficult working conditions."

Highlight of the day for me was fusing a whole lotta Ti salutes for the finale, and loading the 7" guns!
