I have some space saving coat hangers like these.

They have a hook each end so can be hung horizontally. I reckon they will be great for threading a long length of raw match through to dry.

wouldnt it be easier to lay the match on them rather than through them (that way any slurry wont be scrapd off pulling it through the holes)

True. Whichever way I looked at the ones I have this morning and thought how simple and easily cleanable they are.
