Not sure why I volunteered but it has come to me to organise the meetup in Leeds.

This is just a social event without any actual pyro.

The intention is to meet on the 24th October in Leeds centre, and book a table somwhere we can eat and chat till everyone is bored or horse.

The venue is to be confirmed as it will depend slightly on numbers but assuming a reasonable turn out then Pizza Hut will probably suffice.

For those of you still awake afterwards I also suggest a drink round the centre after.

Please post your intentions and comments in this thread and we can get it arranged.

I can confirm I will be there, got no other plans that saturday night.

I think last time we went to Pizza Express, going back about 3 years now though so my memory is a bit vague on this one! However I do remember we had a small sort of raffle of equipment where everyone put their names in a hat, and one was pulled out.

I'd be happy to provide a few shell hemispheres and maybe some other fairly inoccuous firework related things, as it gives an incentive for new members or prospective members who may not have met us all before to come along for a chat.

Hey talking of innocuous things. I will have plenty of gummed tape and plastic storage containers if anyone wants them, maybe even a few very large hemi's too.

Speaking of which, I have huge amounts of greyboard in sheets somewhere between A1 and A2 size. It is similar to the sort you find on the back of notepads, and makes great bases for small garden fountains, or sturdy card discs etc. If anyone would like any, let me know how much and I will bring it along for you to the meet for free as I no longer need it.

If no one is bothered can we move it forward a week to the 17th?

if folks have booked this date already then I will have to miss out but if we can move it then all is good.
