I would have thought that our initial efforts should be a simple, glossy folded menu-sized promotional piece outlining our organisation and also some added value for consumers - advice along the lines of the firework code for example? The ultimate purpose is to raise awareness of our organisation with the man on the street. We could distribute this initially to our advertising partners for inclusion at their points of sale.

Might be an idea to include some counter display perspex leaflet holders, and to perhaps also design the outlay of the leaflet,.... so that one side is a `mini poster` that could be displayed in shop windows.

I'm afraid it did not happen in time.

It's still on the 'to do' list with the intention of getting it finished WELL in time for next Nov 5th.

Apologies for taking so long on this. I have just been having a mess around in Microsoft Publisher to give myself an idea of what it could look like.

Do many people on here have this program? I was hoping to upload a copy of the file in the next few weeks then allow people to make their own suggestions and changes, however if many of the members don't have Publisher then there is little point.

The first releases will look very scrappy and it is likely that we will need to get the final version done professionally, or at least enlist the help of somone with graphical design experience.

Could you reply if you have publisher and are willing to help, as I dont know how common it is. Also if you could suggest a better freeware program so that no-one feels excluded from being able to view the file that would be great too.

Scribus comes to mind it's open source desktop publishing available from sourceforge.net and is available for linux operating systems and windows.
