A new seasonal has opened near me using the name fireworkfactoryonline.co.uk with lots of old Cosmic stuff

They have some pre 2007 Weco King rkts at £15 each or 3 for £30 - usual sales crap but I wondered if they might be the business. The carton was clearly labelled 1.3G and on the rockets it had "made in Germany for Cosmic Fireworks". Also a small label stating the rockets had been assembled prior to 2007 and had a previous classification of 1.4G.
Coke can head size about a 2oz feel ? I did note that the cone had come off the top of one in the carton and low and behold only about half the head was filled up !? Never a good sign Posted Image
I had a pack of smaller weco rockets in 2007 and they were shite so I am a bit apprehensive.
Any advice chaps ?

They also had some 9 pack black gemini rkts for 24.99 which he offered me 2 for 40.00 ? I had these before and they were pretty damn good - nice loud boomy bursts. I think they could be 1.3G ?

Golden lion "Dragon has Fury" at 19.99 bogof - these any good ?
Also NG Midnight Finale / Mega Celebration 50.00 each. These were all old spec as per the label.

Plenty more items such as Thunder Bats rockets by golden lion - novel little ball head "winged" fellows - anybody seen these before ?

I've got most of my stuff now but you know what temptation is like !! Posted Image

They are good, decent bombette candles (from what I remember) , but with an RRP of around £7.

That is "par for the course" with rockets, even the very good ones.
OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

I noticed this with a supreme rocket from epic....the header is only half filled but the rockets are great Posted Image you might be pleasantly surprised, half filled is better than completely empty which you see more often than not these days

The Black Gemini rockets are indeed 1.3G.

I don't like openly advertising but if folk want these items and are having difficulty getting stock then I can help.

they are available from Bright Star Fireworks directly.
price is £60 per carton! there are 6 retail packs per carton with 5 rockets per pack: in other words £2 per rocket.

Carton NEC is 3.5Kg so 100+ g per rocket.

If interested give BS a call 01765 640 740.

(to mods/admins - if this post is in breach of terms on here then please delete as you see fit. I'm only trying to help)

cheers

What was the RRP on Gemini?

Also, according to LOCEF, Black Gemini is 1.4G.

Black Gemini .

Black Gemini imported before June 2007 were indeed classified as 1.4G, however where an item met the old 1.4G limits but does not meet the new limits then it defaults to 1.3G as per HSE and the classification expires in 2012. If an item pre-june 07 meets the new limits ie less than 20g composition, flash max of 0.13g per effect and total of 1g flash and Black Powder burst charge, then it needed to be re-classified to retain 1.4G status and you'll see these items haviong a 2013 expiry date.

Not sure what Cosmic RRP was on these items , i'd guess around the £25 -£30 mark for a 5 piece pack.

Which begs the question, why does the LOCEF database have them as 1.4G? Is it simply out of date?
